The Inspired Home was formed in 2005 to offer quality, solid wood furnishings that are handcrafted using “Old World” methods which are not offered by today’s large furniture manufacturers and chain furniture retailers. Our unique furniture is imported from small factories in India and Indonesia. Our relationship with these factories is such that if a different finish, size or design layout is desired; we are able to customize the furniture to your specific needs.

In addition to new production furnishings from India and Indonesia, the Inspired Home also imports unique Chinese and Indian antiques. All antiques have been refurbished to full working order. These pieces, with their distinctive designs, age and color, will make quite a statement in your home.

The Inspired Home is proud to be a good global citizen. We offer furniture lines made from reclaimed or farm raised teak, mahogany, rosewood, other indigenous woods and fibers, which minimize the impact to the local environment. Our lines are crafted by hand with many traditional “Old World” methods utilized in the construction of these unique furniture pieces. The individual workmanship may cause slight differences in measurements and finish.

Our solid wood products constantly responds to its’ environment, therefore, the furniture has a subtle distressed look. Some splitting, cracking, chipping and glazing may occur. We, and the vast majority of our customers, think the imperfect nature of the wood and finishing methods create an antique, but spirited, look that is part of the charm and appeal of the product.

We sell our furniture off the floor, so immediate delivery is available. Special order upholstered dining chairs, sofas and chairs can be received in 6-8 weeks.
